Turmeric Mango Smoothie…You HAVE To Try This!

I’m honestly not trying to do one of those annoying, “I thought the dog was just sitting there. And then it did THIS!’ or ‘This ONE simple trick will lose belly fat for GOOD!” titles.

It’s not click bait. It’s just a really tasty smoothie. It’s sweet, but not overly – a hint of sour, nice and thick and comforting – and vaguely reminiscent of Haribo ‘Tangfastics’. I use mango, rich in vitamin C and A, but you could also use healthy and enzyme-rich pineapple.

And good for you! So rich in vitamins, antioxidants and good fats. Now be warned: my smoothies are high in calories and fats (good ones) and natural sugars. These don’t worry me, because it’s ultra nourishing for your body and your skin and hair. Drink my smoothies regularly and you will GLOW. However you must bear in mind that these aren’t a snack, or an accompaniment to a meal – they ARE a meal!

I got this recipe through a Facebook page called ‘Curejoy‘, which is a sight full of Ayurvedic tips and recipes. Click on their picture below to head to the original recipe:

However, I’ve very slightly amended it a bit to suit my own tastes, and how much of the ingredients my Nutribullet can take!

3/4 cup oat milk (I am in love with this milk. It goes so frothy)
1/4 cup kefir (so good for digestion)
1/2 cup frozen mango or pineapple
1 banana (or half for nutribullet. Rich in magnesium, which is good for sleep)
1 dessert spoon coconut oil
1/2 tsp turmeric (amazing for you! Anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, helps detox your liver. Grate in fresh if you can find)
1/2 tsp cinammon Small chunk fresh ginger
1 tsp chia seeds

Whizz up and enjoy!
