International Women’s Day is a day for everyone to celebrate the strength and struggle of women across the globe.

I proudly call myself a feminist, and I look outward to all my sisters worldwide. Those who are fighting for equal rights, those who feel empowered, those who are leading the way for the lives of future generations.

And to those who are exploited, disenfranchised, repressed and suffering. Hopefully we can effect change.

And finally we can never forget the women before us who were persecuted for fighting for our rights, or for simply being born ‘the wrong sex’.

As we celebrate International Women’s Day, let’s mobilise on this feeling of strength, love and purpose and make EVERY day Women’s Day.
